Green SteamSolar concentrator systems generate steam with zero NOx, SOx, or CO2 emissions. Would 5,000 to 20,000 more pounds of steam without the headache of a New Source Review increase your production and profits? Solar Steam BasicsThe levelized cost of solar thermal energy delivered from parabolic concentrators ranges from $8 to $10 per million Btu delivered to the load. (Array size and insolation levels are key determining factors.) A 60,070 square-foot array will deliver more than 8.5 million Btu per hour at temperatures of 350 °F (150 psig steam). Annual production will average 190,000 to 215,000 Btu/ft2/yr, yielding 11.4 to 12.9 billion Btu per year. Available Incentives: Federal Investment Tax Credit: 10% Federal Depreciation: 5 Year, accelerated schedule, 35% of basis in year one Utility gas efficiency programs can provide a one-time payment of $4.50/million Btu generated in the first year as an incentive. Emission credits may also be available. |
