About Us

Capital Sun Group, Ltd., Cabin John, Maryland, is a Schedule C Maryland Corporation incorporated in 1997. We are a solar energy company specialized in selling, installing, and servicing micro- to large-scale residential, government, agricultural, and commercial solar energy projects, using photovoltaic, thermal, and solar thermal electric technologies.

Capital Sun is a member of the Maryland-DC-Virginia Solar Energy Industries Association, and our two principals, Carlo La Porta and Albert Nunez, have worked in the solar energy field since the 1970s. Besides the design and construction of many types of solar energy systems, they have a breadth of experience ranging from policy analysis and technical writing to consulting on solar for home owners.

Capital Sun does not compete with wholesalers of solar equipment. We focus on the delivery side of the solar market using our creativity and substantial experience to help customers select the most practical and economic solar energy systems for their needs. We are not tied to any particular solar manufacturers, but we know which ones we trust and we always select the best technology for the job.
